Mantic Musings of the Misguided

May 2008

A Day in the Life of a Writer

May is the start of summer for me.  School ends; writing time begins.  I still do not have a new contract.  Seems like a couple of years since this has happened.  I have a new editor at Harlequin.  Her name is Diana Ventimigilia.  This weekend I'm busy working on the last synopsis of the three book suspense series I'm sending in on Monday.  It's already been sent in once and came back with a revision request.

What Else Is Going On?

1.   Trying to teach my son how to ride a bike.

2.   Getting ready for Nationals.

3 .  Enjoying Children's Bible Time at church.

This month's prayer list:

1.  Pray for Kristy Dykes, a beloved Barbour author who is dealing with a tumor.

2.  Pray that my church start building up its Sunday school program and gain more youth.

3.  Pray for the members of my family who do not know Christ, especially my husband.

4.  Pray that the war ends and our soldiers come home.

5.  Pray for our youth, that they reach for the stars in more ways than one.

6.  Pray that a new medicine or treatment is found that will help my birth mother feel better.  Pray that my birth father get good news from his doctors and his treatments will work.

7.  Pray for Michael Todd as he deals with the choices he's made and the consequences.

This month's blessing list:

1.  My husband still attends church with me on Sunday mornings.

2.  Home, health, and happiness.

3.  The new youth minister seems to be fitting in.
